Great building

Ground floor units great for our young family The more spacious than usual layout is an asset The quiet neighbors in the complex are a huge bonus Would love to have the opportunity to buy

Good place But can be noisy if near intersection

Overall it is a good place It seems like either our neighbors are very quiet or the acoustic isolation between units is very good Electricity is reliable good water pressure Hot water comes on really fast Feb 2009 Hydro bill was about 200 and Aug 2009 was 34 Good neighbors no obvious signs of drugs and illegal activities Nice layout of the apartment Good friendly apartment manager The main problem I have is the street noise Our unit faces the traffic light at St Albans and Blundell I didn't think it was a big deal but we've got Roaring Harleys Screaming Crotch Rockets and Howling Hondas all night long Both my wife and I have awakened with a start in the middle of the night by these a holes I m sensitive to low frequency penetrating noise and the only thing that can stop the low frequency penetrating noise from a Harley or souped up sportscar with illegal aftermarket mufflers is 1 4 to 1 2 steel plating around the entire home and roof Or of course have the city and RCMP enforce their noise ordinance Active noise cancellation is a possibility but is very expensive But if we can pass a law to tax people who purchase illegal mufflers and tax the shops that install them the money could be used to subsidize the installation of noise cancellation systems in our homes
